Nikita Bhatia – Consulting Engineer

Nikita is a passionate civil and environmental engineer with a strong focus on sustainability and infrastructure.

Nikita’s experience ranges from water quality assessments to developing digital audit tools to support HSE auditing systems. Nikita has worked as an assistant site engineer at a metro tunnel boring project, where she assisted in supervision of pre-cast tunnel segment production. This included raw material inspections, concrete production, steel cage fabrication, demoulding, aesthetic finishing and stacking among other responsibilities. During her experience with a major mining firm while located at an alumina refinery in central Queensland, she has undertaken several stormwater quality assessments, compliance sampling, air emissions testing, soil investigations, waste tracking, environmental incident investigations, risk assessments, legal documentation, environmental management systems at tailings dam, among other roles. Nikita has a strong affinity towards project management and has had experience as a project lead during asphalt works across the refinery and has also conducted sub-catchment hydrology assessments for the refinery. While she enjoys being on the field, she has also been recognised for her contribution to HSE audit and field interaction systems as an iAuditor developer. During her role as a forensic engineer in Melbourne, Nikita has participated in residential structural assessments as part of insurance reporting. This has given her a critical eye for details. She has also spent time training clients on generating solar PV proposals for residential solar energy market in Australia.

While Nikita is known for her people-orientation and social skills, she has a strong focus on technical details. She is a sustainability driven professional and has a keen interest in the area of sustainable infrastructure and development.
